So, within those 2 weeks and 3 days, about 2 days were allocated for Neurosurgery... We had to go to a different hospital in Metro Mayakovskaya.Directions: Exit the furthest stairs from train wagon. turn right at the exit of the station and walk straight till Xleb&Co and turn right again.
Simple right? Since we all trusted each other too well, no one were even bothered to check out the location of the new hospital prior to class. Therefore, we got lost for bout 1 hour before reaching the hospital. So much of a sight seeing eyhh. Haha!!
We had one day of lecture and another day of operations observation. We observed an operation of a 4 year old patient with hydrocepalus (water in brain... roughly describing here.. ) and a few more operations.
After a week of class, we finally were given patients to attend to. We were asked to do 'Patient History'.. Patient history is the report of the patients wellbeing, results of examinations, history of previous diseases, and so on. Our patient was suffering from stroke. He was nice enough to answer our question though all of us spoke in very bad russian. We were very nervous and thus, we did it simply by throwing out whatever questions that came up in our minds at that moment. I would like to formally thank him here for cooperating with us. Thank you uncle :)
As the patient history was submitted, we managed to receive our 1st subject credit of the new semester. There is still so many things to learn and so many things to see here..
Thank you all.. Neuro, we shall meet again next semester~~
