A tiny joke between a Russian examiner and a Malaysian examinee..

Situation: As soon you step in, you can feel that thick aura of gloom, fear, dispiritedness & misery lurking around the room. Everyone was just focused on their own task. Examiners asking questions. Students trying their best to vomit whatever they've studied on the answer sheet with all their might.

As one student tries his best to answer, one of the examiner couldn't seem to be satisfied with whatever answer he was given. So he keep on asking, and writing, asking and drawing, shaking his head left and right and with a heavy sigh, he let the boy go...

Everyone else was nervous. They've seen how determined that particular examiner was in squeezing the answer out of the student earlier. No one wants to be the second person to spend another half an hour with him. Everyone kept their heads down, pretending as if there is more answers to write in their already filled papers. So the assistand stepped in & finally dragged one to the examiner. And this is where the story begins.

Examiner: "Good afternoon, sit down."
Student: "Good afternoon sir."
Examiner: "Okay, tell me the diagnosis for your case."
Student: "Well, since the patient had coughs, difficulty in breathing during changes of seasons and are sensitive to dust, I suspect he has bronchial asthma.. bla bla bla..."
Examiner: "Very good. I see you know your case. Next question."
Student: "Well he has complaints of headache and also increase in pressure. Maybe hypertension?"
Examiner: "Yes, what else? Can you draw me a picture of a man, how do u measure the pressure?"
Student: Drawing nervously. Draw a round head, doraemon hands and...
Examiner: "That's a hand?" and he let out a laugh.
Student: "Owh, sorry sir. Let me draw that again."
Examiner: "It's okay. Continue. So, he has high pressure in his hand, but cold lower limbs. So, what do you think this patient has..?"
Student: Answering earnestly one by one for about 10 minutes. Towards the end, the examiner asked one final question not related to the exam, the questions or the subject.

Bear in mind that this exam is done between 2 people who are from 2 different countries. Conversing in a language where the examiner is a native speaker, and the other is a student, studying medicine in a foreign language for the past 6 years.
Examiner: "Tell me please, do you know what is a highway?
Student: Having no clue about the word the examiner said. Just shook the head.
Examiner: "Well, you know. The road where people can walk on, and where people are not suppose to walk on?"
Student: After understanding what the examiner said with broken understanding of the foreign language finally answered "Yes sir. I know what is it."
Examiner: "So, you know why people are not supposed to walk on the highway?"
Student: "Well, of course. Its only meant for cars."
Examiner: "So, you know why people don't walk on it?"
Student: "Isn't it dangerous?"
Examiner: "Yes, yes! Why can't the previous boy understand what I ask him earlier when I asked him about this? Finally someone who understands!!"
Student: Smiling and nodding.
Examiner: "Okay, okay. You can go. Good knowledge, good understanding of the language. Congratulations. " and he write down the marks.

With that, the exam ended.

Gonna remember this for quite some time :P
